Altars for Four Silly Planets

Identity and publication design for the exhibition Altars for Four Silly Planets by Marcus Yee at soft/WALL/studs. Drawing on the sense of lost sentiment evoked in the title and in the exhibition’s use of various forms of discarded, donated and unwanted trash or rubbish, the identity plays on the estrangement of the familiar, featuring a contrasting colour scheme that inverts the seeming innocence of the childhood icons in the exhibition visual.
